The animals we harvest provide abundant medicine for us to utilize long after their passing. Muscle and organ meats - as well as bones - nourish our bodies from the inside out. Hides warm and protect us; and skulls and hooves act as potent reminders of each animal's unique spirit.
One of our goals with Sacred Wyld is to care for and prepare the most powerful medicine possible for our clients. This means using most parts of the animal and working with the client's specific intentions to develop a "medicine cabinet" that honors the animal and provides the client with quality nourishment for body, mind, and spirit.
Along with butchering the animals' meat, we make bone broth and process their organs to be used as supplements. Utilizing other parts of the animal, such as the brain, eyes, intestines, and trachea, can be explored given the specific intentions of each client.
After the hide has been tanned, Joanna is able to make custom garments and bags that can be used for ceremonial or every-day use. Hides can also be used as rugs or blankets in their unadulterated form.
Skulls, horns, antlers, and hooves can be made into beautiful art and altar pieces.
While our focus is on using all parts of a harvested animal, Joanna loves to create all kinds of art and "power pieces" that celebrate an individual's relationship with nature and their unique expression of the human experience. The studio is available to all - Sacred Wyld client or not. Be in touch with any idea you have for a piece that you want to see come to life in a meaningful way that will remind you of your innate beauty and power!
Joanna's creations - such as handmade garments, sacred jewelry, and nature-based art - are also available on our new Etsy store! Check it out and contact us to collaborate on your custom, one-of-a-kind piece.
