Congratulations, Andrew!
Andrew was introduced to us several months ago as he was navigating some major life transitions and investigating realms of spirit that required new kinds of conversation. Through our dialogues, Andrew expressed interest in learning the ropes of hunting, archery, and providing sustenance for his family in a sacred and intentional way.
Andrew joined our group archery curriculum, along with two other men, and began a daily archery practice with his long bow. While he was committed to developing skills as an archer, Andrew's main intention of providing food for his family in a timely and successful manner was of greater priority to him.
Given this priority and his willingness to meet the transitions in his life with courage, authenticity, and radical self-honesty, when the opportunity arose to harvest a Yak by rifle in late June to initiate a sovereign community-based meat-sharing program, Andrew was all in.

The harvest was flawless. Andrew sent one bullet in the name of love, and we successfully supported a dozen households in receiving sustenance - Yak meat, bone broth, and organ supplements!
There is much to share about this harvest and the opportunities to continue the pattern of sovereign community meat-sharing - all of which will be available here in the coming weeks. But for now, let's celebrate Andrew, Jerry, and everyone supporting this vision of reciprocal, caring relationships with the animal kingdom!
